Having built his career across boutique tax practices and a multi-national blue-chip company, Idrees combines specialist tax knowledge with a strategic, real-world perspective. His work spans UK and international tax advisory, including business structuring, cross-border operations, and strategic exit planning.

drees supports clients on a wide range of matters, including UK business setup for domestic and overseas entrepreneurs, VAT planning, HMRC incentive schemes such as SEIS/EIS, R&D tax relief, and Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI). He has significant experience handling HMRC enquiries and investigations, including COP8 and COP9 cases, where his deep technical understanding and measured approach ensure robust and effective representation.

In addition to his corporate work, Idrees advises high-net-worth individuals on personal tax, inheritance tax planning, international residency, and capital gains tax.

Yawer is an ATT-qualified Tax Technician with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. At Elixir, he plays a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services, specialising in property taxation and the management of complex HMRC enquiries. Yawer speaks fluent Italian.

Priyasha has over five years of experience in auditing and accounting for SMEs. At Elixir, she leads the Accounts and Digital Transformation function, combining deep technical expertise with a forward-looking, technology-driven approach to finance.

Habeeb is an experienced Business Development Manager who drives Elixir’s growth through strong client relationships, strategic market development, and proactive lead generation. With a background in sales, market expansion, and customer engagement, he focuses on identifying new opportunities and strengthening Elixir’s presence across key sectors.

He has previously delivered growth strategies, built long-term client networks, and managed international portfolios, including work connecting UK, Middle East and West African markets. Known for his communication skills and goal-focused approach, Habeeb ensures prospective clients receive a seamless, professional experience from first contact through onboarding.

At Elixir, he plays a key role in shaping the firm’s marketing and business development strategy, expanding partnerships, supporting outreach initiatives, and contributing to the firm’s continued commercial success.

Maqsood Ali is an engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with extensive experience spanning technical, operational, and leadership roles across global organisations. His career includes key positions at multinational companies where he progressed from field operations to senior management, gaining deep expertise in process optimisation, technology integration, and data-driven decision-making.

Before joining Elixir, Maqsood served as Business Leader for a freight company, where he successfully led an operational turnaround through the implementation of lean processes and strategic pricing models that improved efficiency and profitability.

An engineer by training and a strategist by instinct, Maqsood approaches every challenge by breaking down complex processes and reimagining them to be leaner, smarter, and more efficient. His strong foundation in IT and data systems allows him to act as a bridge between management and technical teams, translating strategic business goals into actionable technology and process solutions.

At Elixir, Maqsood plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, digital integration, and data-led innovation. His leadership helps ensure that Elixir’s systems and client solutions remain robust, scalable, and aligned with the firm’s vision of empowering modern accountants through technology and intelligent automation.

Raees is a Data and AI Specialist at Elixir, working with modern chartered accountants to implement data-driven automation and intelligent integration across finance operations. His expertise lies in bridging the gap between business strategy and technology, using analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and process automation to optimise performance and deliver measurable results.

He has successfully delivered projects across multiple sectors, covering data analytics, visualisation, software development, and digital consulting. His portfolio includes major transformation initiatives such as Sappi’s digitalisation and automation programme, where he supported the design and rollout of data-led solutions that improved process efficiency and business insight.

Raees also works with a range of clients to modernise their systems, integrating financial data platforms, building real-time dashboards, and developing automation pipelines that reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
